All Little League Football leagues comply with the Little League Football Child Protection Policy, which includes checking the background and suitability of all volunteers. Little League Football regards the welfare of each child to be paramount.
- All children have the right to protection from any type of abuse.
- All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
- All volunteers in Little League Football have a responsibility to report concerns to their welfare officer.
Under the Protection of Children Act 1999 and the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000, there is a legal requirement that Little League Football volunteers must obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Each LLF League has a dedicated Welfare Officer, their responsibilities includes being the first point of call following and concerns of safeguarding or child welfare issues.
